Who We Are
Established in 1991. Izumiya introduced Okonomiyaki (Japanese Savory Pancakes) to SF for the first time. We are known as the Home of Okonomiyaki in SF/Bay Area. We specialize in Japanese comfort foods.

IZUMIYA RESTAURANT is a diner version of Japanese restaurant with a menu inspired by the idea of simple and honest cooking. Starting in 1991, we introduced an unique everyday Japanese food dining experience for San Franciscan and visitors, using fresh and sustainable ingredients.

Okonomiyaki and Modern Yaki
Okonomiyaki is a savory pancake made from a flavored flour with cabbage as its main filling. It is topped with Okonomiyaki sauce (a sweet thick shoyu based), a sprinkling of shaved bonito flakes, dried seaweed flakes, and pickled ginger.
Modernyaki is Okonomiyaki with Yakisoba (grilled egg-based noodle) and fried eggs added as additional layers.
Since we are full service restaurant, we have many fresh ingredients already available. Thus, we can offer many choices of Ramen for you.
Chashu, Beef, Chicken, Pork, Seafood, Pork Gyoza, Veg Gyoza, Agedashi Tofu, Pork Katsu and Chicken Katsu. Also, you can choose one of the soup base for your Ramen: Shoyu, Tonkotsu, Miso or Curry Pai Tan.

Grilled Noodles & Donburi Rice Bowl
Yakisoba and Yakiudon
Yakisoba is a grilled egg-based skinny noodle, flavored with Yakisoba Sauce (shoyu base sweet sauce).
Yakiudon is thick flour noodle dish, flavored with teriyaki sauce.
Both noodle dishes can be made with the addition of beef, chicken, pork, or seafood.
We have Donburi, choice of Pork Katsu, Chicken Katsu, Oyako (Simmered Chicken), Agedashi Tofu and Tamago Toji.
Friday: 3 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday: 12 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday: 12 pm to 7:30 pm
